Recent graphics done for some boats.

My first crack at an illuminated sign for a friends bar. All lettering hand drawn and cut out of thin mdf. Bluetooth LED lights added.

Ceremonial rings for the RNZN with hand painted badges inside.

Complete board. Gold leaf and CC lettering. Four finished boards below that.

New sign for The Rose Centre theatre. Just over 2m long. Acrylic paint on a slightly stucco effect wall.

A piece commissioned by a friend of mine for her mum...I'm sure Susan won't mind. Around A1 size, ink and gouache.

A couple of stencils for a warehouse where the staff don't fully open roller doors which end up being binged by trucks...might help?!

Some graphics applied to some marine buoys for Niwa. Rather than just using some reflective tape we thought that a few marine related images would do the same job yet add a frivolous element. Maybe people would take more notice.

A client had recently moved into a new warehouse and needed a few directional signs. Rather than just render them as just functional I was briefed to give them a bit of life.
The logo of Apparel Line had to stay the same of coarse but the rest I decided to use more of a scripted, yet bold, font. The colours were used to match the company use of blue and green.
All signs are brush painted in enamel on prepared plywood.

As trucks enter and exit the building frequently the client wanted a couple of '5km Only signs'. The ones that were already there seemed to be ignored I thought something outside the box was required.
Thanks Banksy...
Cardboard stencils and spray cans.

As the 'Entry' and 'No Entry' signs were fixed to the fencing the back of the signs were visible to staff and customers from inside the premises. Rather than just leave them white i decided to carry the green over from the front.
I also added a cheeky little promo.
Carboard stencil and spray can.

This sun trap of a deck needed a bit of
'Aladdin Sane'-ing.
Image is approximately 2m tall and 1m 14 inches wide.

A practice piece, I quite liked the grey/black/white on the Rimu. A couple of 'in progress' shots added. 720 x 290

A sign for a friends Northland 'ranch'. 870 x 150. Detail left.

A little bit of script on the 'Cat Jail'...not sure 'Poppy' was impressed with modelling for this!

A couple of signs for Dunedin student flats.

A few signs that were done to help 'personalise' homes.

To the right is some options that I gave the client. Just some quick thumb-nail sketches to get an idea of the look they're after. Finished sign above.

A couple of signs, out of recycled weatherboard, for friends home bars.

On of the few times I've used vinyl for signs. These were hand cut and applied.

On the volley wall for Belmont Park Racquets Club

Boat signage.

Mantra for a yoga studio.

When a friend built a new drive way on Waiheke Island part of the consent process was to have a sign warning cars not to back out onto Ocean View Road.
We decided it looked better in Te Reo.

For a friends home brew, by all accounts very tasty.

A couple of outboard covers. Spray painted then signwritten.

For my daughters university flat in Wellington

Not really a commissioned work as such. At one stage this was what my studio was to be called.
The sign shop was to be called 'Cut Snake Signs' as well, as in 'Mad as a...'
